O'Neal didn't magically become who he was by simply switching teams (otherwise, he would have done much better in his first year at Indiana... only 13 ppg). He wasn't "NBA ready" when he came into this league... and Portland wasn't patient enough, their loss.

He simply worked out, got stronger, developed a post-up game (his athletic skills that carried him in HS didn't mean jack in the NBA).

I don't think Yao has to be a banger... but would you consider O'Neal a banger? No. If Yao can get that hook shot back, get the turnaround going again, and keep working hard on getting position, etc.... he will be better served for it.

I think Yao needs some drugs. How can he miss layups? No wonder he often misses dunks.

Yao might have a higher percentage hitting layups than dunks. He is forced to change everything, playing the way he is told by others, not his.

Why does he have to do something told by others? Is it that he does not have BB IQ? Yao needs spanks.

Do me a favor and shut the hell up... This constant criticism is starting to really piss me off. I don't know why people feel is their God given right to bash a player constantly and then take personal credit when that same player does well. Why don't you cheer for the Rockets because after all this is a Rockets bbs. If you or anyone else want Yao to get on another team, go join that team's BBS. That's right, they probably aren't as good as this one. Let's keep it a good one and keep the annoying **** out of here.
