I'm thinking the deal with Beltran had a LOT of deferred money. Mets probably did a straight up offer.

Boras gave the Astros an indication that Beltran "will be signing with another team in the future." Is Boras related to Dan Fegan by chance?

The cultural pull of playing in front of many of his countrymen was too strong. The Puerto Rican population in New York is huge from what I've heard.

BS... with the amount he was gonna get paid, he could have gotten every one of them directv.

I don't even think he'll end up in NY. This now gives Chicago enough time to move Sosa.

www.astros.com says Beltran's decision has not been made public.
Doubt there is anything positive for the Astros behind that though.
    Eh...

It won't be the Cubs...they're owned by Tribune...who doesn't pay squat to anyone without the title VP of ____. Trust me, I work for that cheap a$$ company....

Bingo ... this is what I think is going to happen.

One more reasons to HATE the Cubs.

oh well... suprisingly, im not as disappointed as i thought i would be...

CB showed what he really wanted; maybe the posters will now start putting 'blame' on who's decision it really was... beltran's, not boras'...

good luck wherever you go, guy... at least we haven't capped ourselves out for the next 7+ years...

Well this moves Boras on to my list of most hated people:
    1. Bud Adams
    2. Scott Boras
    3. Karl Malone

A Winning Team is Important. I guess the millions make the METS better than US. Just say it, Money talks.
