i think what cd / jvg is doing right now is fill our roster with spot up shooters to compliment tmac and yao. snow has been a good shooter, so does wesley (but he hasnt shown it yet), and barry! it sucks though that we have to give up sura and padgett! padgett has been great for us and so does sura even if it was only a short stint. but, im still surprised, shocked even, and clueless why to this trade....
HOLY CRAP I THINK THIS IS THE REAL DEAL -- Rockets traded Sura and Andre Berrett to Cavaliers for Eric Snow with some cash. They also sent Maurice Taylor and Charlie Ward for Mike Dunlevy. I hope this trade makes them better. sorry for the first one
Ok, it sucks because Snow has a long contract, he's old and injury prone, and he's a poor outside shooter. There is no upside to this trade, especially from a salary cap standpoint. At least with the JJ/Wesley deal, the contract comes off the books after next season, so no harm done. Snow's contract when coupled with Juwan's deal could cripple this franchise for years.
i am seriously not making this up it was on espn radio and espn message boards, their boards are filing up with pages happy new year people???
Dunleavy is on his rookie contract. How do we get the salaries to match. I don't trust anything from espn board. Unless it is reported on 610 or pops or clutch posts it, I don't buy it.
ill confirm this stuff soon... or someone confirm it for me! all i know is we got eric snow and its true
theres been like 3 new threads on the ESPN message boards about this...this would be a really bad way to start the new year...but im not going to be scared until doc rocket or clutch confirms this
I just listened to Sports Radio 610 ESPN Sportcenter news update - No mention of any trades... Where did you hear it? Try not to use the ESPN message boards as a source...
Just in case this is true, here's the info on Snow. Eric is a 6-3 200lb pure PG. He's 31, and turns 32 in late April. His recent career trend has been this. 00-01: 35 min. 9.8/7.4(ppg/apg) shot 42% 01-02: 36 min. 12.1/6.6 shot 44% 02-03: 38 min. 12.9/6.6 shot 45% 03-04: 36 min. 10.3/6.9 shot 41% 04- : 20 min. 3.7/3.3 shoots 39% He was named 2nd all-defensive team in 02-03, but his defense supposedly dropped last season. The biggest question mark, IMO, is his shooting. Since Snow doesn't shoot 3s, his shooting percentage has taken become disgusting again the past two years, after 2 solid shooting seasons. His contract numbers looks like this. 04: 4.8 mil 05: 5.5 mil 06: 6.1 mil 07: 6.7 mil 08: 7.3 mil No, I'm not joking. Snow does indeed has FOUR more years left on his contract after this one. Unless he takes care of his body incredibly and gets lucky, the last 2-3 years of this contract is going to be dead weight.
c'mon rich, you should know better. I'm not going to call BS, but next time wait until you hear it from a more reliable source than a place known to make up rumors.
Umm...I don't know about this. I think it's against policy to post rumors from other message boards....especially ones as pathetic as espn's forums. Did you actually hear this yourself on the radio, or are you going by what you read? Any other confirmation besides just some random guys on the espn forums???
