I voted no but it is not a slap at Amare. Both players are studs. Personally I would be thrilled to have Amare but I am just as thrilled to have Yao. Both can kill you and both do it a little different than the other.
look - Amare is a nice player and he is PREFECT for the system the Suns run - which is basically the same system the Mavericks ran last year. Just run up and down the floor, score as much as possible and forget about defense. the only problem is, that style never helps in the playoffs
For god sake, just say YES and let YAO go. One season later, i will be happy that we see the poll like: should we trade Amare for YAO if possible?
You do notice that Amare is playing with Nash, one of the better PGs in the league, while Yao is playing with Ward/Lue, PGs that won't start on any other teams in the league.
Ask yourself... how many young power fowards with size, speed, and aggressiveness enter the NBA each year. Then ask yourself how many 7'-6" centers with good hands, shooting ability, and passing ability enter the league each year. To me it is an easy decison...
I still take Yao over Amare! As we know£¬Amare has made a significant improvement during 1x games and we all know how much improvement of him benefit from Nash's arrival. I am not going to deny his advancement. Personally, I do admire Amare. he's quick, aggressive, full of guts and tends to dunk every ball he gets. I like the way he plays. but he cant make his teammates better, which obstructs his way to be a great player. On the contrary,Apart from Yao's tremendous market, his selflessness and teamwork really make other teammates better. though Yao is less aggressive, lacks stamina, he has been improving. Compare to his rookie games, you can find out how huge he'd changed. Every now and then, he gives you a glimpse of a great player, the one on court. All these things make me convinced he¡¯s capable of doing better. So I¡¯d like to give the 7¡¯6 guy more time, wait and see¡_¡_.
