Work/Home: "Maiden Voyage" - Herbie Hancock "In Pursuit of the 27th Man" - Horace Silver (great early '70s unknown hard bop) "Soul Station" - Hank Mobley A Delerium Mix CD
I just picked up REM's new one, Around the Sun, after reading the review in Rolling Stone. Their best CD in over a decade.
Albums I've been listening to: "The New Danger" -- Mos Def <-- first half of the album really features Black Jack Johnson. Its very much a rock, blues, and hip-hop album. So far I like it. "Beautifully Human" -- Jill Scott <-- really good mixture of Jill's vocal style and Jazzy Jeff's sensibility for what made old school R&B so good.
Jay Z/ R Kelly "Unfinished Business" Ministry of Sound "Chillout Sessions vol. 6" Ryan Cabrera "Take It All Away"
Current jazz albums for me: "Coltrane Plays the Blues" - JC "Miles Ahead" - Miles "Sextant" - Herbie Hancock "Volume 2" - Sonny Rollins
