I'm not a fan of Marchand's dirty play. I'm very torn on the hit (punch) by Bennett. At the minimum, Marchand probably shouldn't have take a run at a known dirty player. Doesn't justify a "sucker punch" from Bennett...but ultimately a bad decision by Marchand. Man...this is hard to side with. Dirty player vs. dirty player.
Its no secret Marchand toes the line often on dirty play it was only a matter of time before he got some of what he gives out nightly.
That third period by Carolina was something else. And JHC, enough with the "give the Cup to the Stars" talk on the telecast already. Let's let the games play out. They were playing a somewhat uninspired and downtrodden Avs team last night. You could tell that the mental state of the Avs team was just not good. Props to Dallas for taking advantage of it...but I'm not ready to crown them yet.
All four second round series have been entertaining...especially since Carolina woke up and decided to try. No series feels like an "epic" level event, though. If Vancouver and Edmonton came out with a little more nasty from the get-go, it might've qualified as such.
Yeah they should not count anything even without the guy they lost this Avs team is still talented enough to come back in this series.
