bruh that doesn't make any sense. Xmen97 is nothing but 90's cartoon cameos. They used 90's spider-man MULTIPLE times with Mary Jane. Spider-Man is the most restrictive IP Marvel has because it's SONY.. You even got a Reed Richards F4 cameo and they got a movie coming up. A DareDevil Cameo and he got a series coming up. Iron man was in the room with Cap with the president. Anyone from the 90's cartoons was game for a cameo - it's obvious. They had the Black Panther Cameo but they went the EXTRA step to say it was T'Chaka when they didnt need to at all. Especially when nobody was name-checked in any of these cameos. T'Challa has always been Black Panther in the 90's. A show so hell bent on continuity from the 90's cartoons randomly using T'Chaka is weird. you have to admit that. I have never seen any studio try to erase a character/superhero because an actor died.
Glad we didn't get Joseph Magneto. No clue where they're going with the apocalypse origin thing. Can't be AoA. Or. I guess it could. But... nah.
Marvel should do another animated show with a similar feel and format. It was a relief to enjoy something from them so much!
anyone else thought the storm, and jubilee and mexican bf side quests were useless? better if they spent those minutes exploring cable. prof x's love story could've been axed too, it was random with no real resolution.
Jubilee is going to learn jiujitsu from southern Mexico guy and become jiujitsubilee an expert in fireworks and Mexican ground fighting. You have to be patient.
Thought the season delivered. We can nitpick day and night over details, but this was a nice break to what's been spewing out lately.
Very true. I'm hoping they can increase the animated content without crashing quality so much as happened with live action.
Ah yes, "character development". This is needed for live action shows after 2-3 seasons but not so much for an animated series in S1. The professor's love story may have set the table for a big arc in future seasons.
They used him in season 1 because they already had his voice before Chadwick died, but since then it's been T'Chaka. Granted it took place in the 60s but they are deliberately not using T'Challa in all mediums. They would never do that with any superhero.
i wasn't aware that chadwick is bigger than the tchalla character. forget that they recast hulk, general red hulk, and blek ironman.
I just learned about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which will premiere November 2 this year on Disney+. Apparently work has already begun on the second season. Doing Spider-Man right would undo a lot of damage to the brand because that show will attract a lot more eyes than this very good X-Men series.
