Ticket scalping for any Indiana Fever game is crazy. Cheapest tickets for a weekend game vs the Chicago Sky are like $500 atm.
The ticket sales are up. The salaries are the same. But the reality is they are not likely to sustain the momentum. They have opportunity, but they need to be aggressive about it to blow the league up. No easy task. Almost impossible. Women need to buy tickets and support meaningful basketball. Caitlyn and Barbie making the finals would really help give them some eyes they desperately need.
The current popularity won't hold but the hope is they establish a new higher base, which they almost certainly have, and then continue to build from there. I know I for one added WNBA League Pass ($35 for the year on Youtube TV) and I've never done that before. Even if my interests falls off, they got my money.
It was definitely a "welcome to the league, rook" game for Clark. She'll get better as the season rolls on.
I wish the Comets were still around. I'll watch any level of basketball because I love basketball. But its a lot harder for me to watch when I have no team to support.
