Espada is a ****ing tool. I can’t imagine any players on the team respect that dude. Has zero fight in him. Doesn’t make any effort to protect his players. All he did today is standing there and agreed with the ump instead of fighting for his best pitcher and get thrown out. ****ing puss. Still can’t get out my head how he got ejected in Chicago.
Rob Manfred clearly is Bias for the Yankees, Sign Stealing Letter Judge not opening the letter. Pitchers usually have Pine Tar and other Substances on their neck and wrists. Pineda comes to mind. Now since last year the Yankees Pitchers wash your hands and continue pitching.
Tool or not Joe Espada would look worse if indeed Ronel Blanco does cheat. The umpire in the Playoffs will get revenge if you embarass them. See Aaron Boone, Boone has the worst Karma from the Umpires. Laz Diaz always wins even though he is terrible.
damn the hits just keep on coming for this organization right after dusty baker was able to improve our image and win our first legitimate world series this happens
MLB league office is now saying that the next time the Yankees get caught cheating the Astros will lose more first round draft picks.
hmmmmmm......I guess we will see, this sucks. I hope they don't sit on this for a week, shouldn't be that hard to tell what it is
Should be loser pays litigation. If they find something sure suspend blanco. If not suspend the crew chief ten games.
Still can’t believe dumbass moron espada goes on the podium and says “yeah I saw some white I saw something there so yeah” HEY JACKASS, HOW ABOUT STAND UP FOR YOUR BEST PITCHER IN PUBLIC Even if you saw something why the hell would you admit publicly???? If you wanna rip Blanco’s ass in the clubhouse then rip him. But at LEAST in the public eye make an effort to defend your players. P***y
Blanco looked gassed and tired, blame it on no defense from the manager. His 1st ejection was the worst manager ejection ever, looked like a bat boy going back to the dugout. George Brett did too much pine tar once.
That's by far my biggest issue with how this played out. We've seen guys be asked to change gloves, or wash hands...why in the hell is the enforcement so arbitrary. Complete zero punishment or massive penalty based on a random human stickometer. If enforcement was consistent I would have zero complaints because it does seem to be against the rules even if I may not like it.
I am pretty sure Max Scherzer isn't losing HOF votes for his suspension and neither is Gerrit Cole after admitting spider tack use.
Help me out out here. Blanco is right handed and throws with his right hand. Ump said his left hand was sticky and that inside from the mf-ing glove was also sticky, which make sense since his left hand was inside the glove. At any point in the game did Blanco say f-it I am throwing the next pitch left handed?
That was tame by Jomboy standards, pretty much just the A's broadcast feed. I'm surprised they haven't posted a condensed pitch-by-pitch cut up to see if he was doing anything illegal trying to load up on the rosin/sticky stuff.
