Whether he is 6'1 or 6'2, 0.25 inches don't matter either way and doesn't change the narrative he is short for an NBA PG.

Bruh no one is arguing he’s tall. We’re saying height is not the only factor that determines how good you will be at NBA level. Our PG is FVV for Christ’s sake.

Is he short for an NBA PG?
I think that’s average height for a NBA PG

6’3 has always been the average height for point guards, and that’s always been in shoes. 6’1.75 without shoes(6’3 in shoes) is the prototypical point guard height.

At the end of the day we are all speculating and being arm chair GMs. I'm just saying based on my perspective if a 6'7-6'10 off the ball shooter like Risacher and Cody Williams are available I'd rather take them over RS who is 6'1-6'3. I will take less shooting ability if it means 5-7 inches more in height.

I dunno how Rox FO feels about it at the end of the day its their call.

You are right he is prob in the average height of a PG. I misspoke, I meant small NBA player in general. He won't be small compared to other pgs but he won't be an advantage either.

FWIW: the older, historic DraftExpress database lists 6'2.25 as the average height and the average wingspan at 6'6.75 for PGs.

Obviously I would prefer 5-7 inches as well, who wouldn’t? But that ignores the tiny problem that those guys you mentioned…haven’t been good. Good basketball players > not good basketball players who are 5-7 inches taller.

I’m not against CW or Risarcher. I think 3 is a reach for CW.
I just want shooting. At worst, RS is a 3&D PG, at his best he’s something that isn’t very common in the league. Stockton/Curry type?

Narrative is roslol’s middle name. He has the worst takes on this board.

If Sheppard was 6’6, he would be the no doubt number 1 player in the draft.

Yup. Having a short wingspan is legit criticism. Having questionable foot speed on defense is legit criticism. Having questionable shot creation is legit criticism. I’m curious how any of these translates in the NBA for Sheppard and I don’t have the answers, I’m definitely not saying he’s a can’t miss prospect. But the fixation with height is weird. The production is real and I’m willing to bet on that.

Sooo Reed is a shorter version of Austin Reeves with a better shot?

More like a better shooting Mike Conley with less passing.

Risacher and CW can also be 3nDs, and they do it in various position not just PG.

With this draft class, he’s still a top 3 guy at 6’2.
That shooting and athleticism is tops in the class

But what I'm saying is Risacher and CW also have other factors besides the height. I never said height is the only thing that matters either right?

This is so hilarious that you are rounding Cody Williams up a half inch to 6'7 but rounding Reed down 3/4 of an inch to 6'1.
