I'd like to see Tucker leading off. I think that was a revelation from yesterday.

Tonight's game is a key. Keep some momentum from yesterday rolling. I say we sweep the final 3 games so if we can win tonight we are looking at a 5 game winning streak!!!!

Oddly enough, I would fee better if this series was in Oakland.

Tucker leading off yesterday was a nice change of pace, will they do it again or was it one time deal to give Altuve time off?

I don't even understand why the A's don't make Mason a starter. He's a potential star that can alter a franchise trajectory and sell some tickets down the road. As a closer, what difference is he really making for them. I would consider emptying the farm system for him, but as a starter.

If they’re going to really turn it around it starts with this home stand. Really could use a sweep of either Oakland or Anaheim. If they can go 8-2 or 7-3 then the season gets interesting. 5-5 or less then I would say season is probably lost. 6-4 does nothing for me but keep that hope lingering.

Stripling has had one bad outing. It was his last one against Texas.

    They did

But he has a pretty long history of arm injuries and they reached the point where they said let's see if this guy can stay healthy as a closer, and so far the results have been phenomenal

I used to believe the value of a starter was incredibly higher than a reliever too. And don't get me wrong, it's still a lot more valuable

But baseball has changed, if Miller can completely lock down the end of games for them, that has an incredible value

We have 7 blown saves already, if we had converted just 5 of those 7 we would be 20-20 right now, and while no one would feel awesome about that, the mood and outlook would sure be a lot better
