Risacher is a great pick if he falls to us. 6'10 and can already play the open shooter role RS would be here.

But I also saw us winning games with FVV/Aaron Holiday closing. Sheppard will probably give us Holiday’s production right away and have upside from there.

If he was Stockton or Nash, they would not have him at 3-5, they would him at 2 basically.

That is with people getting the Number 1 pick wrong half of the time.

Austin Reeves meets someone like taller Mark Price.

Look up a list of the greatest point guards of all time, since when has 6’2-3 been small for a point guard?

Actually, Steve Nash and John Stockton were picked 15th and 16th.

They call it a weak draft basically because they do not believe in a lot of those players turning into stars but I would say over 4-5 years of time some would blossom.

Question: Do the Rockets have 5 years of patience after 3 years of Silas?

How much upside can Sheppard have over Holiday? They're both undersized good shooters. Holiday is already shooting 40% from 3. I rather have a 6'10 with upside like Risacher over a 6'2 with upside like RS.

Since when were 6'6 pgs common?

    It's a new age.

How many times people here flamed FVV for being short and tiny?

Fvv is like 5’11, and if people were flaming him then they haven’t been paying attention, he’s been our mvp.

Yes he has been our MVP so why would we get Sheppard when we already have him? I'm pretty sure current FVV is gonna be better than rookie Sheppard. 2-3 yrs from now a lengthier big like Ron Holland, Buzelis, CW, Risacher etc would likely be better than him.

We already have Amen as our successor to FVV. We need a big wing to complement him, not another clone of FVV.

I’m not sure Amen played a single game as point guard this year. Amen is going to be a very good player, but he’s shown zero signs that he will be a point guard.

By far and away the biggest hole for the team right now is someone who can replicate what Fvv can do. Currently we have exactly no one, that’s part of why he was so valuable, because he was irreplaceable. At 30 years old eventually we will need to find a successor that fits better with our timeline.

Amen had 10 AST his last game if that isn't a point guard what is? You are right we need a successor to FVV and that's Amen. With his court vision, athleticism, size and length, defense andjund rebounding ability just in terms of being a PG he is better than Shepperd. If he is not ready now then I'm sure in 2-3 yrs he will be.

Our biggest need is actually a good shooter, not playmaking cuz when Sengun comes back we have Sengun, Green, FVV, Brooks and Landale who can all playmake. A big wing shooter like Risacher fits this team cuz he can play 4 positions Vs Reed who can play just 1. So for example Brooks stinking it up the Risacher can slot in or maybe Jabari is stinking it up Risacher can slot in etc

Oth Reed can really just sub in for FVV. What if FVV is playing great and Jalen shooting like crap and we desperately need someone who can shoot? Playing both FVV and Reed is gonna make us be a midget backcourt.

In terms of upgrading the main cast Dillon Brooks is actually the weakest link, if we have a big wing we can move on from Dillon much easier. Oth upgrading from FVV is actually hard because FVV is almost star caliber already, like you said he was our mvp. Not easy to replace a team MVP.

So they won't be picked at 3rd or 4th because in hindsight they figure what gem they had in the first place.

People have a White and Black pattern where tons of players fall into the Gray area and develop into stars or they stay role players.

The closest comp without shooting was Jason Kidd who was taken 2nd Overall longer time ago who could be justified as a sound 2nd Overall Pick.

Pedos on this forum need to understand that we can't keep drafting kids and still compete. We need to start winning that's why we need to trade that pick. Sorry child diddlers you will have to keep it in your pants in this draft.

Rafael Stone in France scouting Risasher, no doubt.

Sarr from France is in America during Draft Lottery.

Very Interesting that Rafael Stone knew the Rockets will pick 3rd, was the Lottery determined 1 week ago.
