I'd argue, no. I don't think he'll have a very good time at the NBA level being a big lumbering traditional center who can't shoot or switch on to anyone AND we'd be making that pick to move on from Sengun, the team's current best player.

Even best case scenario I don't think Clingan ends up being good enough to make up for losing the team's best player and still being better overall than going a different direction.

A little bit like Trae Young with his speed and quick jumper. He can pass a bit, certainly not as good as him though.

Defense isn't his strength and he's around 6'1.

That's going to be the story with basically all of these guys, if they didn't have significant holes in their game, they'd be the #1 overall pick because this class doesn't seem to have anyone like that.

Of course, this wouldn't be the first "bad class" to later go on to be amazing. Grading draft prospects is a crapshoot

In that case I would trade down. I want Chomche towards the end of the lottery or right after.

I don't think the Rockets are really in a position to pass on a top 3 pick given they have a top tier talent shortage....AND it's about to be time to make some hard decisions about disappointing players nearing the end of their rookie contracts.

I think they shouldn't overthink things, pick a shooter and move on.

If we can get Eddy and trade for Bol Bol
Our size down low would be amazing

Dylan Brooks stays, that dude was a solid role player
We shouldn't have any issues on rebounding or blocked shots

Depends on his health. He has been in a horrible situation in Detroit similar to the Rockets under Silas. I don't know if can be elite, but he could be much better in Houston under Ime.

In a normal draft where a top 5 pick often nets a team a future All-Star if not better, that makes sense. This isn't that kind of draft though.

There's tons of drafts that the talking heads say are weak that end up being some of the best draft classes and some drafts hyped as being the best end up being really weak as overhyped prospects bust one after another.

Look at the 2021 draft, basically everyone was talking about Cunningham, Mobley, Green, Barnes, and Suggs.....was anyone talking about Sengun?

Well, a few years later and Cunningham and Green are still terrible, Mobley and Barnes are pretty good but nowhere near what was expected, Suggs is a bench player, and Sengun is arguably a top 3 player from that draft class.

The Basketball God's have shined upon on, so yes we keep the pick unless some insane deal comes along for a young star.

We need shooters. Draft one with this pick or trade it for one.

It seems the Sarr is almost a consensus #1 pick and would fit in with Atlanta's needs, but I've never seen him play so I don't know if he's worth trading up for. I doubt Jalen Johnson would be available for what we've got. He fits the bill as both a young prospect with growth potential and a win now player. Whether Atlanta decides to rebuild or keep trying to compete, he's a keeper either way.

Don't the Rockets have another 1st round pick?

I don’t know all the surrounding parameters and whether it’s feasible, but I’d love to get Brandon Ingram, and it sounds like NOP is open to moving him.

No. They would have if it landed in the top 4, but it stayed at 12 and went to OKC. Part of the brutal Westbrick trade. God that was the worst trade ever.

I'd give them Green and #3 for Cunningham and Grimes.
