I wonder if it was crap electrical work for the 50 amp plug.
Those things need to be installed correctly with the right gauge wire.

    Never know. That's the thing.

Knowing the neighborhood, and the types of people that live there, I'd be a bit surprised if it wasn't done by the book. But like I said, people do some weird things.

A guy went to China to look at EVs and wrote about it. Some of those Chinese models look pretty cool. That one with the full dash video blew me away. I also like how you can program messages on the taillights of some--I've been wanting that for years to let people know there's a drunk driver ahead.

I spent a week in China for the Beijing Auto Show, the country’s biggest car industry event. As a guest of the Geely Group along with a few other international journalists, I drove more than a dozen vehicles, sat in many more, and had a lot of important conversations. The real story is far more nuanced than a simplistic “Us vs. Them”; a story of a China that has fraudulently over-invested in electric cars and is desperately seeking a space to dump their inferior products.

That narrative is false. Western automakers are cooked. And a lot of this is probably their damn fault.

That's ****ing horrible. Messing with that contraption is more dangerous that anyone else on the road.

Fewer distractions in autos, not more.

I wish that deal was around 5 months ago. Earning 3 or 4 points on 40k over 6 years isn't a bad

Didn't Tesla-Austin just cut production of the Y in half?

I think demand is pretty low ....might be another lever they are pulling to get inventory moving again...

That ship has sailed and is well out to sea. All new cars are essentially computers on wheels unless you go the Versa or Kia Forte route and even those have chips in them.

There's actually a massive pushback against this, and for actual buttons.

Many people complained the iPhone didn't have physical buttons for the keyboard in the beginning. Physical keyboards are better, but not worth the expense of losing half your screen.
After market interior parts will be a big market for minimalistic interiors.
