Thats the issue. I still believe in growth and that he will be better as he has been this year compared to his rookie year. He shoots .363 on surface that looks great but he misses a lot of significant threes. How many times have you seen him miss a wide open 3 where we need a basket to go up after a good run. Or how about when trailing? A lot of these are uncontested shots and its unacceptable. It’s the timeliness of the shots in critical or significant situations. He will be better tho
im not sure Markkanen is a max player, but I like him and his size and shooting is coveted. I’m not in a hurry to make big trades, and I don’t want to give up core players, but I’m curious if 24’ 27’ and 29’ can get us a Markkanen-level player.
Could that dude be anymore long-winded? I'm irritated if the Rockets back out of taking the pick. I've been waiting for this all damn year.
Houston has identified floor spacing and shooting as an area of need this offseason privately and publicly and have an interest in veteran sharpshooter Malik Beasley, league sources said. Beasley, who is also attracting early interest from Orlando and Golden State, spent the past season in Milwaukee, starting 77 games and shooting 41.3 percent from 3-point distance. I’d be fine swapping out Aaron Holiday for Malik Beasley to get a little more size, especially if we draft Sheppard.
How many wins for Sengun/Adams Smith/Eason Brooks/Cam Mitchell/MLE shooter FVV/Amen ? Im saying 56-26
(Not singling out you daywalker02, just want to rant) OK I've seen people here and on Twitter excited about Beasley. He does seem like a good shooter, and I wouldn't mind throwing him on the roster for a long season. But he is....bad at defense to put it nicely. "Anytime you can involve Malik Beasley in an action, it's an advantage for the opposing team." "Beasley is a free agent....get him all the way out of Milwaukee based on what we've just seen." (during the off-season guide for MIL) Give him the vet min or maybe a very low MLE amount (maybe a Jock style contract?), but that's about it. (Yes I'm so annoyed by this I had to point it out in 2 threads)
Lol Naz Reid is 24 and Jaden McDaniels is 23......doing work against Denver. Dereck Lively 2nd (20 yrs) and Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington 25. Those are pretty underrated.
Report: Rockets to re-engage Nets in trade talks before 2024 NBA draft https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...ge-nets-in-trade-talks-before-2024-nba-draft/ I ask why? Because it worked so well the first time? Seems pretty clear the Nets braintrust views the Suns picks higher than their own. The Rockets must also think this because why are we trying so hard to obtain them?
it’s interesting though because that means we are unlikely to be getting a high pick in 25’ & 26’, which are supposed to be great drafts. This is effectively a bet on the Suns’ 27’, 28’, and 29’ picks to be better than Brooklyn’s 25’, 26’ and 27’ picks, with the #3 pick in 24’ likely to be much better than the Suns’ 25’ pick. But we’d get the benefit of a longer asset control timeline. I do think the Suns will be complete dog sh#t from 27’ onward, but if you really believe in the 25’ & 26’ drafts then you are kind of bowing out.
