They would need to throw in a box of Cracker Jack's to get the broom included.

It makes no sense whatsoever. This coach is an idiot. Time to move Dubon and Diaz way up and popup Bregman to the bottom. He's batting worse than Maldonado did last year, and sure as heck won't get the home runs Maldy got. He's a great 3rd baseman but the most useless batter on our team right now.

    The Starting Rotation being Injured.

Justin Verlander, Framber Valdez, Cristian Javier, Lance McCullers, Luis Garcia, Jose Urquidy.

All Batters in Runners in Scoring Position are Terrible.

The whole Bullpen is Failing. It is a Down Year, Free Agency Year.

Players seem to want to move on, Pissed not getting Paid (Bregman, Framber) Roles taken away Ryan Pressly. The Dugout seems like nobody talks in a positive way. July 31 Trade Deadline. 4th Pick maybe (Draft Lottery).

Lost a lot of Leadership Yuli Gurriel, Carlos Correa, George Springer, Michael Brantley, Marwin Gonzalez, Charlie Morton, Martin Maldonado.

I don't know if I've ever seen so many things go wrong for one team so quickly before. This is a legit bad team right now. It's not any one thing, it's not just the injuries to the pitching, those have nothing to do with why Bregman, and Abreu, and Alvarez are all struggling, or why the team lacks any kind of situational hitting. No, it's just straight up lifeless bad baseball. This is a shitty baseball team that seems to also be lacking in emotion and leadership. These guys look done to me. Yes, they COULD turn it around, but I'm not seeing any signs at all that they will.

I think Alex Bregman "I guess we'll never know" comment of the Rangers and Rangers coming back and beat the Astros. Really took away Alex confidence, being arrogant and has gotten blamed for it all off season.

Not winning 1 Home Game against the Rangers, to move past the Rangers really destroyed the Psyche of the Astros this Year, especially the Hitters.

The Astros have had a fairly tough schedule when you think about it. 6 with the Yankees, 3 with the Braves, 6 with the Rangers and 3 with Seattle already. I’m calling this the low point of the season. Now is the time to buy in if you’re thinking about futures bets. The next 17 games or so is a stretch where the Astros need to go on a run. Det, Oak, Mil and LAA all coming up.

Astros +350 to win the division is looking like amazing value. There is still too much talent on this team to perform this poorly. Let some guys get healthy, let some guys hit their stride and watch how much better this team gets.

Astros are 8.5 back of division, 9 back of wild card.

    Division:
The record for the largest deficit overcome by a baseball team to win a division is held by the 1914 Boston Braves, known as the "Miracle Braves." They were 15 games behind in the National League standings as late as July 4, but they managed to rally in the second half of the season to win the league by 10.5 games. This dramatic turnaround is one of the most remarkable comebacks in sports history.

    WildCard:
The largest known deficit overcome by a baseball team to win a wildcard berth is held by the 2011 Tampa Bay Rays. They were 9 games behind in the wildcard race as of September 2nd, but managed a dramatic comeback to clinch the wildcard on the final day of the season. This comeback is often remembered for its dramatic finish on the last day of the season, which saw the Rays win in extra innings while their rivals, the Boston Red Sox, lost their game, completing one of the most thrilling nights in baseball history.

In addition to the 2011 Tampa Bay Rays and the 2001 Oakland Athletics, a few other MLB teams have also managed to secure a Wild Card spot after being at least 8 games behind. Here are a couple more notable examples:

    1. 2005 Houston Astros - They were 15 games under .500 (15-30) early in the season but managed to turn things around and secure the Wild Card spot. Their remarkable comeback included winning 36 of their last 46 games.
    2. 2019 Washington Nationals - Started the season 19-31 and were able to secure a Wild Card spot, eventually winning the World Series.

Rushing back Cristian Javier, Luis Garcia, Lance McCullers, Jose Urquidy.

Astros really are in a Rehab, Injury, Batter Eye Confusion Year (Bregman, Yordan, Abreu). Down Year for the Power Relievers Abreu, Pressly, Hader.

I really thought this would be our turn around series, but the starting pitching and clutch hits are not in the cards right now. Spencer A cant seem to get out of jams and continues to show he can pitch and gets strike outs yet ends up giving up 4-5 runs in the first few innings every game, even our other starters seem to lose it in the first few innings and then the offense presses. Anything that can go wrong has gone wrong, the baseball gawds have done us no favors this year. Hell, its hard to watch this lifeless team go through the motions and Breggy is just a shell of himself. I am in for one last gasp once we get a few starters back but I have a feeling this is going to be bad. It might be time to move on from Breggy just to give him a change of scenery, love that dude for all he`s done but he's one step away from joining the WPB facility with Abreau. Lock up some young guys in Tucker and Pena and lets find a real CF and 1st baseman.................I dont think we really have a back up at 3rd in the farm system.
