This reminds me of the "discourse" that occurs here. Ignorant, mouth-breathing, leftists, mindlessly spewing all sorts of insanity.
Just simply ask who supports organizing labor. Who supports striking to push employers into a corner? Also why is a grown man debating 19 year olds?
You don’t have to tell anybody who they should treat as their enemy, but If you have a pair of eyes and a pair of ears and enough gray matter, you should be able to recognize who are your friends and who are your enemies based on their words and actions. BTW- my sister married a Jew.
Well then you must be amazingly tolerant and unbiased. I had no idea. How daring and open-minded you are to have a sister like that.
I’m not sure how we can have a dialogue with your amazing sarcasm brah. My brother in law just happened to be a conservative, which is very rare amongst his people.
Mainstream media seems to have a different take on UCLA: 'Horrific' violence at UCLA after counter-protesters attack pro-Palestinian camp (bbc.com) UCLA campus protests: Pro-Palestinian camp attacked, classes canceled - Los Angeles Times (latimes.com) Police called in to break up confrontations at UCLA campus protest : NPR Even Fox News frames the counter-protesters as the aggressors: UCLA falls to anarchy after counterprotesters confront anti-Israeli encampment: 'Horrific acts of violence' | Fox News
It seems that the confrontations you're sharing occurred many hours after the Jewish girl was beaten.
That's fair. I have not found any news articles on the specific incident you refer to. I'm looking for news articles because I consider tweets and video to be raw material. It's easy to show a biased perspective on events by simply sharing a video wholesale (especially in this case where the video doesn't capture the prelude nor even the main event, just an aftermath). It's journalists' jobs to corroborate accounts, investigate, do fact-checking, etc. to be confident a story is true (and they're willing to stake their reputation on it) before they go and tell it to everyone. Who instigated? Why? And so on. So, at the moment I'm skeptical. But, if you have any news articles about this incident I'm interested in reading them.
Yeah. Well I have always expected the far fringe extreme to believe in some outlandish things. What I find concerning is that it is leaking into the mainstream and that is a real problem. I know quite a few people that seriously believe that Hitler was a leftist and that Joe Biden is an extreme leftist. In fairness - I also know some on the left that are becoming more open and accepting of essentially anarchy and believe ANY remedy is justified when it comes to racism.
That you believe otherwise demonstrates your lack of understanding of fascism, "leftism", and history. Here is an excerpt from modern liberal Jonah Goldberg's book "Liberal Fascism": Liberal Fascism offers a startling new perspective on the theories and practices that define fascist politics. Replacing conveniently manufactured myths with surprising and enlightening research, Jonah Goldberg reminds us that the original fascists were really on the left, and that liberals from Woodrow Wilson to FDR to Hillary Clinton have advocated policies and principles remarkably similar to those of Hitler's National Socialism and Mussolini's Fascism. Contrary to what most people think, the Nazis were ardent socialists (hence the term “National socialism”). They believed in free health care and guaranteed jobs. They confiscated inherited wealth and spent vast sums on public education. They purged the church from public policy, promoted a new form of pagan spirituality, and inserted the authority of the state into every nook and cranny of daily life. The Nazis declared war on smoking, supported abortion, euthanasia, and gun control. They loathed the free market, provided generous pensions for the elderly, and maintained a strict racial quota system in their universities—where campus speech codes were all the rage. The Nazis led the world in organic farming and alternative medicine. Hitler was a strict vegetarian, and Himmler was an animal rights activist. Do these striking parallels mean that today’s liberals are genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order? Not at all. Yet it is hard to deny that modern progressivism and classical fascism shared the same intellectual roots. We often forget, for example, that Mussolini and Hitler had many admirers in the United States. W.E.B. Du Bois was inspired by Hitler's Germany, and Irving Berlin praised Mussolini in song. Many fascist tenets were espoused by American progressives like John Dewey and Woodrow Wilson, and FDR incorporated fascist policies in the New Deal. Fascism was an international movement that appeared in different forms in different countries, depending on the vagaries of national culture and temperament. In Germany, fascism appeared as genocidal racist nationalism. In America, it took a “friendlier,” more liberal form. The modern heirs of this “friendly fascist” tradition include the New York Times, the Democratic Party, the Ivy League professoriate, and the liberals of Hollywood. The quintessential Liberal Fascist isn't an SS storm trooper; it is a female grade school teacher with an education degree from Brown or Swarthmore.
I swear I saw people here 4 years ago blame Jews for losing the 2020 election. Suddenly, they're all allies to Jews. Very convenient.
