Yeah there's definitely resentment for financial success. I forgot which author noted similar resentment of a successful minority group with that of diaspora Chinese immigrants in countries with poorer majorities or Russian Jews. The people comprising the Free Palestine protests aren't entirely Palestinian or Muslim. There's enough of other minorites to make one wonder if there's more to it, like a pseudo Marxist playbook of oppressor vs oppressed...entitled vs discriminated. What happened post-covid outbreak with Asian discrimination as a response feels similar to how Jewish people are being rejected on the public forum. If I could describe it, it would be alienation. It reinforces the notion that they are guests in America, which is ironic on several levels, one primarily being that the frontlines of this issue compromises of 1st/2nd gen Muslim Americans. The other irony that's more forgotten is that Jewish Americans have led several charges in the legal domain to improve religious and ethnic rights for all Americans. If African Americans are the historical face to civil rights, Jews were in the backlines fronting many of the legal cases needed to make it happen. Hell, the NAACP's first two presidents were Jewish. It's a very weird time to be a liberal.
