Have seen a few in real life. I don't love it. Not for me.

Appreciate the innovation. But, it's not for me.

I was driving past the Tesla lot with my preteen older boy who I am trying to convince to not reject everything out of hand by pronouncing it as "stupid" and "dumb"..

..... But ooh boy, when we saw that Cybertruck right out front and he unleashed a "God that thing just...looks.. Sooo dumb!" - I had to just say "yep, you're...right"

It looked like a hot wheels car had sex with Rosie from the Jetsons and they had a baby.

Was at the detailer Monday getting my ix ceramic coated.
Saw the CT in person. It was getting color shifting paint protection film put on. So if you see a purplish CTZ around town that’s the one…
Good grief that thing looked hideous. It’s a meme car for clowns.

I finally saw one and man, that thing was ugly IMO, just doesn't look like it belongs on the road.......maybe the moon or the desert. To each his own man

    What is the innovation?

Seriously asking. I thought it was just another car/truck.

The three things that people keep mentioning could have been offered in any of their "normal" shaped "non knife" shaped "non douchebag" shaped cars.

    Drive by wire
    48v electrical system
    Ethernet over CAN

stainless steel panels- turning out to be an annoyance more than anything useful..unless you live in Sunnyside

Drive by wire with no mechanical link. Lexus had steer by wire 20 years ago but the mechanical backup delete in the Cybertruck helps packaging the car.

Also power distribution of 11.5 kW 48A
Compared to Ford Lightnings 2.4kW 30A. (This might have changed)

I have no idea why some owners think that it was designed for Offroad Adventures.

The Cybertruck does have better power distribution, but it's not that much better than a Lightning.

The 11.5kw output is only available if it's sending power to a Tesla PowerWall though the NACS port.

When going through the 240v and 120v receptables, both the Cybertruck and the Lighting with Pro Power Onboard package are limited to 9.6kw. The difference is that the Lightning is limited to 7.2kw from the 30A/240v receptacle plus 2.4kw from 120v receptacles from the rest of the truck.

The Cybertruck is limited to 9.6w total from all of the outlets, up to 40A on the 240v outlet. So it is more flexible than the Lightning.
One drawback of the Cybertruck's system is that the outlets are disabled when the truck is charged by AC. So if you're at a camp ground with power, you can plug in the Lightning into the campground outlet and use the truck to get 120v and 240v power while still charging.

Cybertruck's outlets are disabled while AC charging.

Saw my first one in the wild at the school pickup line yesterday. LMAO. Not only was it the first cybertruck I had seen, it was painted in ****ing military camouflage colours.

The definition of not giving a **** haha.

I might have to get one, just to annoy my wife.
