Going by need and Kiper's list maybe...Rice out of USC? Or Taylor from Miami?

Go with Rice or Pratt. They’re the BPA now.

Jawhar Jordan. Jordan was starting RB for the Cardinals over Isaac Guerrendo. Jordan was the better RB.

    Solid RB. I like it.

Now come back and grab Leonard Taylor with a 7th. He was a top 5 recruit in his class and is a DT. Might yet have panned out, but at this point they’re all gambles.

    What DTs improve this room?

    Denico Autry
    Tim Settle
    Khalil Davis
    Kurt Hinish
    Danielle Hunter
    Will Anderson, Jr.
    Foley Fatukasi
    Derek Barnett
    Mario Edwards
    Dylon Horton
    Ali Gaye
    McTelvin Agim

Any of these can be considered CBs, DTs or DEs depending on how they are used and NOT where they typically line up. ie Hunter and WAJ line up in a typical 4-3 DE position and are called CBs. Fatukasi and CJ play the same position, but Fatukasi is called a DE while CJ is called a CB.

It's not your old school nomenclature anymore.

If I'm looking at Guards, Mahogany is still there, but I expect him to be selected before the Texans pick again. Jeremy Flax at Kentucky would be a good fit.

DeQuan Hardy from Penn State would be a good Nickel corner

Leonard Taylor played the NT spot last year. He's not a penetrator. More of a take on the double teams defender.

So I see that we have THREE 7th round picks. Any chance that we grab a future, backup, QB?

Baylor's DE Gabe Hall who has the length at 6'6 and 290 pounds would make sense. The Texans have spent time with Gabe.

Sounds more like a 3-4 DE unless they think he can get low enough to play with leverage on the inside as a DT.
