This will probably be a decade away but I expect it to be the big 'Infinity War' buildup for the next decade. First they will need to establish the X-Men brand and tension between the two teams, then build up to a huge tentpole event like Infinity War and Endgame.
No way to do an entire movie around that within 10 years and it not suck. If it's like a Battleworld thing, sure, whatever, but it'd carry no weight (like Civil War did). It would basically be a glorified "what if". There are also more interesting XMen stories to tell than have the Xmen fight... who even? Skinny female black panther and a guy that does Kung fu? I think there was a plan (based on what marvel comics started to focus on at the time) to have Namor flood NY. Kill millions. And initiate the hatred for mutants. Gotta start somewhere.
Not excited by this in the slightest. MCU will remain dead to me until they jump off the woke train and make entertainment their primary goal.
Why are superheroes fighting each other? Seems like you could just create a villain instead. I'm someone that thinks all the Marvel movies of any era are of pretty much the same quality with only a couple standouts. But I liked Xmen as a kid, the little I knew of it. Seems like that should be the focus going forward for a while, it would at least sounds refreshing or new. What a snowflake mentality, grow up bruh
Can you point out where I said or implied any of this? Why bother posting something so clearly false? You're the one who needs to grow up.
They're stepping out of it to a large degree. In April 2024, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that Disney is no longer "woke" and that the company is not trying to promote a political agenda. Iger has also said that Disney cares more about entertainment than making content with a message. Translation: It's hurting our sales and brand. That's the bottom line, we out. It's a joke, bro. The comics themselves have heroes fighting all the time. It happens. Marvel has published around 40,000 comics since it's inception in 1939. There are thousands of fresh backstories. Also, the X-Men in the comics (and cartoon) are persecuted and feared. That has lead to a lot of good stories where they fight just about every hero group at one time or another. I'll go back and edit the OP but this is at least 10 years out. They need to establish the X-Men brand in the (soft-rebooted) MCU and build the tension over the years. Thanos was planned and teased for 8+ years before he entered the fray.
Don't use Fox News boomer buzzwords like WOKE that are open to interpretation then. Nobody knows what the **** WOKE is supposed to mean. I assume you hate black people, since Captain America is black now. Maybe I'm wrong, how should I know. Use words like that, be prepared for what comes with it.
