Laughable. The 2 things I've noticed: he knows how and when to turn his head, look back at the ball, and get his hands up (no PI); he can tackle in space, and go through a block to do it if needed I think he's going to be fun to watch.
Lassiter has played well the past two years against the best teams in college football. He also practiced every day against the best. I don't know if he'll be all-pro but he's going to be a solid, starting, CB for us. Overall I like the guys we picked. Our secondary was the #1 concern and it was addressed. We also invested in the future by taking a promising OT.
Kinda reminds me of when the Texans selected Kareem Jackson but in the 1st round. There were questions about his speed as well and probably explains why he moved to Safety. Can’t believe he’s still in the league.
Some of the favorite slower stopwatch speed CBs recently: Xavien Howard. Martin Emerson. Sherman Desmond King. Should have never been cut the first time around. I'm sure there are more.
My main concern about him is that he'll pick up a ton of penalties given how physical he plays and how hard he hits in a glorified flag football league like the NFL.
If you want to make noise in the AFC that starts by stopping Mahomes. You need a “Legion of Boom” type secondary and the players they have picked up so far give me confidence the secondary will be a strength.
