2024 NFL Draft Thread

Checking today’s draft grades amongst various sites: Consensus on all (3) Texans’ picks today range between B- and B+ for those who care about such things. Most write-ups call Blake Fisher an upside project.

 

There was interesting debate with Clint Stoener today. He was adamant that the Texans were not in luxury to draft players to wait on for the future which Caserio hinted with his "who we draft may not have an impact right away." comment.
I'm halfway. This staff has shown that no matter what round you were drafted, if you compete, you will get an opportunity.

 

I'm out. Don't care about any other picks tonight.

 

Hardly they got an A grade with the 3rd rounder alone

Need a little Buck update

 

I absolutely agree. There were 4 DT's and 2 CB's drafted right before the Texans had their first pick in the 2nd round. Of course that has to do with other teams strategizing how to trade in front of the Texans to pick up the value picks before the Texans were on the clock. So yeah, the Texans got worked over.

Two of the DB's I hoped might make it to tomorrow come off the board, Elijah Jones and Tykee Smith.

 

You know it was a bad draft when no one on here got excited about any of the picks.

 

but knowing what they gave up to move up ahead of us(3rd rounders) tell me you wouldn’t have traded lassiter and bullock for Newton

 

I think we did well

 

Blake will get coached up and will practice and in a year he'll be ready to help the team.

 

Do we have the ammo to get back into 3rd or should I go to sleep

 

I'm guessing that we're looking for depth at DT in Round 4.

 

The draft resumes Saturday at noon ET.

 

If the majority of people here don't like the picks, that's probably a good sign.

 

I would of traded both the 6th rounders to move up 3 spots in the 2nd round to take Fiske
