I do not believe Jesus is a deity or even our personal lord and savior. I believe he was a man who bucked Jewish traditions in the Herodian kingdom and preached a new way and those teachings over the next few centuries became the faith as we know it today. His teachings, like Buddha Socrates and Confucius, were the precursors to the humanism and acceptance we practice today. I celebrate Jesus but I do not worship him.
If you really believe in Jesus, you are doing a really poor job of representing him. You might benefit from reflecting deeply on that.
This shall prove most interesting. Should have been a poll. I think you might want to define a few things What does it mean to "Believe" 1. Do I believe he existed? Yes 2. Do I believe he is the son of God? Sure as much as we all are the children of God 3. Do I believe in his teachings? By and Large yes. I think his teaching and lessons are a net positive to the world 4. Do I believe his path is the only path? No. Rocket River
Yes. I see him every other week in the fall and spring. Then once a week during the summer. He and his son do great work. The guy went from one truck, mower, weedeater, edger to now having 5 or 6 Crews working for him. The American Dream.
Yes I believe it's more likely than not that a historical Jesus existed. ..... Does that mean that I believe in the same caricature/deity that YOU call Jesus that you believe tells you what is right and what is wrong, and those things that your version of Jesus tells you aligns EXACTLY with you political, social, and racial grievances??? No... its almost surely not the case that I believe in the same deity of Jesus that you believe in.
I think I agree with this, though I don’t know too much about the teachings attributed to him. Anything novel about it that is particular to him, or is all the good stuff just sort of vaguely “treat people decently, give to the poor, don’t be selfish”? I believe he probably existed, much like Socrates probably existed despite lack of direct evidence.
Welcomed to Sodom & Gomorrah brah. Lol Of course, I believe in the one and only Jesus. My Lord and Savior!
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
lol. Manic Germans spamming basketball message boards with anti-trans tweets also makes baby Jesus cry.
