As long as this is just a stiff neck this isn't that big of a deal. He last pitched on 4/14, so they are probably back dating the IL to 4/15. Sucks that he is missing this game but with only 5 games left on this road trip he might not have even pitched again. He now can go back to Houston, get treatment there, not have to travel to Mexico, sleep in his own bed and be ready to start the 4/30 game against Cleveland.
Javier getting that whiplash watching the bullpen go to work. If he closes his eyes from the 7-9th for a couple of games, his neck should start to heal.
Thinking about the Pressly situation. Hot take: he gets DFA'd at the All-Star break. He has pitched in 10 of 22 games (45%). There are 74 games left until the break. Same usage rate would mean 33-34 games. For a total of 43-44 games. If he pitches 45 games then his 2025 salary becomes guaranteed (15M). He has to start pitching WAY better for that to be worth having.
Damn homie, On the radio Ford did an interview with Bagwell. Baggie broke out not 1 but 2 back of the baseball card references for Pressly and Hader lol Then Ford, I believe baited him, by giving him an analytics question about their struggles, "naaaaaah" "We just have to make a better pitch." Quickly dismissing Ford.
Hunter not putting guys away with 2 strikes. 2 bloops, one produced an "extra" base Astros down 1-0.... still no outs Of course the offense didn't score either, but WAS got a couple strike calls their way. Luck meter on fleek early for the Nationals
