That’s the other thing. It looks like a Madden generated logo from the early 2000s. Maybe it’s just the one side being only an H, but it’s a build a uniform look
You don’t like the H either. So, what’s that make you? And yall know damn well what Old E represents if you’re from Houston. Don’t play dumb
I’m the only one saying something? I didn’t even start the bad talking. Change your tampon and move on if you don’t like it
You get so sensitive. You said I turned this thread sideways when I wasn’t the person who started the trash talking. You didn’t call them out did you? Single me out, I will call you out on your sensitivities. Seems fair to me
This trash logo looks like something out of the XFL or USFL. A great NFL logo needs to have the ability to endure for decades -- a perfect match for the city and culture, yet also looks distinguished and classy. Very few teams use initials on their helmets -- Kansas City, Green Bay, San Francisco... and when they do, it's a classy, clean look. This looks like something Cal came up with when thinking about the absurd task of what would bolster his "street cred". In other words, misses the mark by trying too hard. If I see him doing that ridiculous Houston hand sign again, I'm going to vomit -- this is not you, Cal.
Anyways, back to the unis. Hoping there’s more Htown blue than what’s in the mockups. Only the trim with the steel blue isn’t enough. With the red unis it would look good
No need. I’ll back off. This was an argument with me an RVO from previous. I shouldn’t have kept it up. If you like the H then great. If not, we have other unis
Let's just dissect the absurdity of this photo. 1) Poser Cal flashing a stupid hand sign that he would never do in front of his circle of friends, unless he were drunk and listening to 30-year old Dr Dre songs 2) Cal working hard to appeal to the Spanish speaking community by wearing a guayabera shirt 3) A well groomed, non aggressive dog (black lab?) is wearing a chain (!), like it's a pitbull dog fighting champion 4) Is this in his backyard in River Oaks? Cal, who is giving you advice? They need to be fired. You are an owner -- be an owner. We do not need you to carry the cultural torch -- and you are not well suited to do this.
I'm here for Traditional and Modern Classic (especially the striping on the Traditional sleeves) Still not a fan of the helmet horns and I hate monochrome in all iterations, it looks terrible in ALL colors, not just the Texans. If the Bull Theme set will always be monochrome red, that's hugely disappointing. H-Town Blue is just a complete miss all the way around. I hate to say it...H-Town Blue is a terrible accent color. It really only works as a primary for me.
Poor guy, your culture is on the way out, it happens. Cal is doing absolutely the right thing for his business in this market - he's catering to it and making money. You have heard of market research and population demographics correct? Are you not interested in making money?
The way this thread was headed, it's probably good for all of us to remember what they told us ahead of next week's reveal - something for everyone. I think enough people didn't take that to heart. What maybe more of us should have seen coming is I can like the idea of one aspect but I'd have not paired it with another. Across, say, 12 ideas, they assembled 4 jerseys. For example, personally I like the idea of a horn helmet but would have paired it with the traditional look or the HTown look, but that's not happening. So I need to either decide to like they're doing both (horn helmet & HTown blue) with other choices I wouldn't make, or Tuesday will be a big let down in my opinion. Also, vote with your dollars. The odd part to me might be since they didn't necessarily pair things like I would prefer, I assume others feel the same and we might not have a clear "everyone likes A but hates B" option that people demonstrates with their buying habits. Regardless, money talks, so if people buy the heck out of the HTown Old E....it's likely gonna stay.
