Old English isn't even really just a Houston thing or Urban thing. I think people will get used to it. Nobody thinks Rice or the Detroit Tigers were pandering to urban culture nor do I see anyone wearing their gear for that specific reason.

That H is not well liked on any forum/social media. The colors are well liked.
It’s funny, that blue was made popular by Luv ya blue era cowboy hat wearing coach. But you ignorant dudes think Htown blue is Slab culture.

Old E is 100% associated with prison/mexican/old school rap culture. It’s the main font for a lot of tattoos in those cultures.

Old E used to be associated with class, when Rice and Detroit used it.

Are they really going through with the old English H? It's worse than the huge T they had on caps early in preseason. At least I'll get to save some money then

Old E was once the font of class. You’re talking 1800s

It has two completely different paths now. One is prison/gang culture tattoos. Which is closer to the slab culture you’re promoting.
You know this, but keep on deflecting

Sure but that's also a small subculture and I don't think that's who the Texans are pandering to. Like at all lol. I think they just like the H. Things change with time. Old English reappropriation lol

    False equivalency is real.
Just because you’re too poor and ignorant to have ever seen a college degree, doesn’t mean people don’t know the difference with degrees and what that H represents

    That’s 100% what they’re pandering to with that H.
It was appropriated in the 90s and that culture-gang culture-prisons/mexican mafia/bikers/rappers use it.
And the people that sympathized with them co-signed it. Still do

You said Old E is hood. It is still used to confer degrees. You have the false equivalency.

Lol I really don't think so. California chicano subculture is so 90's like you yourself said. It was never that ubiquitous. Only black cultural influences get adopted by many Americans. Chicano/Mexican not really. The only thing would probably be low riders and it took black people appropriating them to make it happen.

    It is hood.
It’s the hood pretending to be high class.
High class and low class. I can guarantee you high class people aren’t getting old e tats and/or sporting a hat like that

I hope the helmet photos that were leaked are not going to be used in games. The colors on the helmet are Titans colors. The colors of our division rival. I don't care about the font on the Helmet. I don't want to see a letter used as the logo on a helmet.

Black culture doesn’t get adopted. Prison culture does.
And it’s the font of choice in prisons. By all subsets. White bikers, Mexican mafia and black gangs. It was never just a California Chicano thing.
It was more associated with Cali crips than anything over there.
Either way, when they call it HTown logo or slab logo, that’s not exactly a high class culture or representative of high class.

I don’t even mind it, it gives that subculture something to be proud of. At least theres other uniforms. What sucks is the Houston blue is going to have that font.

The overwhelming opinion is the colors are legit, the H is not.
Maybe it looks good all together.

But just to be factual. Old English has two polar opposite tracks. Higher learning and hood/prison culture.
Not once have I seen someone say that H represents high class in here.
