I've only ever been there once. It was for someone's birthday.

Honestly this really might work.... we can mix in some Outback Steak House and maybe the TV Guide magazine and play old episodes of Matlock.

There is lots of money out there - and the old folks will make sure they spend all of it, leaving nothing for their kids.

Put it all in a failing mall maybe? Can set up a walking track endorsed by New Balance shoes?

We went a couple of times a month (Red Lobster) in the '70's and early '80's when it was a laid back family place before they tried to pass themselves off as fine dining. The folks liked it cuz it was pretty good and reasonably priced and my mom always liked that they didn't treat us kids like kids. Back then meals came with options for soup/salad, and sides and wait staff would ask us what we wanted and not one of our parents.

Usually went to the 1960 location just off 45. Best night was when the fall out from some staff love triangle manifested itself in the lobby while we were waiting to be seated. Front door busted open and this guy stumbled in with another guy right behind him. Second guy tackled him and proceeded to deliver an epic ass whuppin'. Second guy's (presumed) girlfriend/wife came in and started screaming at him to stop. A few patrons (including my dad) jumped in and pulled second guy off and drug first guy away. Management came out a said he'd had enought of their **** and they were all fired. Second guy rolled out and gf/wife rushed over and started boo hooing over first guy. Then we got seated and ate fried shrimp.

This was in the mid to late '70's.

Steak and Ale was the go to if you wanted to impress a date in high school.

Pappy's on I-10 around Gessner, chics liked chicken tenders and salads.

If you were low on cash you took 'em to Olive Garden..."have another breadstick"

I have heard from TWO experienced bar/restaurant owners that if you play country music over the speakers at the restaurant, it serves as crime repellent.

I like the Chili's here in Marble Falls because:

    1. the back patio/deck overlooks the lake (and there's a tv if sports are on)
    2. their margaritas are not bad at all
    3. southwestern eggrolls are delicious

That's all I do as far as chain restaurants go.

Classical music has been used for years by municipalities and businesses for the same purpose.

It was a blue collar flyover state thing for celebrating the night out just like going to church every week or having work experience at a warehouse or dock. It's not a political thing though it can bleed together.

I listened to this on a podcast with my airpod max while sipping my flat white.
