Fire Espada

This thread started as a joke and has turned very serious

 

I was defending him until a week ago.

Dana Brown needs to seriously talk to that guy.

It's not the end of the world - 2 and 2 the last 4 vs Texas and Atlanta but the decisions suck.

It's like as soon as the quicksand got knee deep he started flailing until it's neck deep.

 

He was thinking Dubin was pitching well, which he was, and the bullpen is gassed.

EV's of 82-72-67mph equaled 3 baserunners and a two runs. The ump couldn't even make a proper call on a clear replay.

Dubin didn't get rocked AT ALL.

The 9th inning, much like this season, was some of the greatest misfortune I've seen since watching baseball.

Amazing how no poster said anything about Dubin's 3rd inning BFORE it happened. Then the Monday QB's talk about how dumb the decision was without any context of what actually happened. A bunch of weak contact and terrible umpiring.

 

I swear anyone here could manage better than Espada has been lately.

1) No Starter gets to allow more than 1 baserunner in the 7th inning or later no matter the situation. Save your bullets.

2) unless the game is out of hand and someone needs to jump on a grenade no RP faces any batter twice in a game unless it's still prior to the 6th inning.

3) pitch your levererage relievers ONLY in winnable games and sparingly without a lead.

4) Chas and Meyers must start vs all LHSP. When Dubon does start, it should be vs a LHSP.

5) If Dana Brown keeps Jose Abreu on the roster, he never starts consecutive games and always hits 8th.

But yeah, I'm on board with firing Espada now.

 

How did you come to that conclusion from that 1 minute clip?

 

Something defending needs to change. I understand injuries but we're very lucky to still be close on the division

That's a good clip. I'm honestly not someone to ignoring people because there's a lot of view points that have merit but he's on a different level. I don't even know why we're discussing Baker. That ship has sailed

I agree. They'd probably be worse but hopefully the pitching staff gets healthy.
