These kind of hucksters attract attention among the tiktok crowd because that age demographic is comparatively screwed vs Boomers, X and millennials. Lower chance to buy a house or apartment. Higher chance to become a permanent renter. Higher chance to be saddled with giant debt payments leading into their 30s. Ala carte Marxists are carving up that demo like BBQ chicken as Grievance Culture serves as an outlet for their generational powerlessness. I agree with Thomas Sowell's response to this. You don't get stars worth a damn if you were mistreated/discriminated in the past and you believe that barrier to be some structural or hierarchical reality/oppression. You can fight injustice, but you can't fight how you perceive yourself by playing the lessor role as victim. Most successful people were driven by their traumas to prove their doubters wrong, but the current messaging is that if you're a victim or "your people" were past victims, embrace it and demand recompense from a corrupt and unjust system (through marxist redistribution or "by any means necessary"). The end game to that mindset is cancerous. We'll literally tear ourselves apart while inherently knowing that power corrupts. It would be a vicious cycle of blind (opportunists) leading the blind.
