I travel to Muslim countries a lot. I don't have any issues with Muslims as people, as I have repeatedly stated. My issue is with the ideology of (political) Islam - specifically, with its supremacist ambitions, with it being used as the motivation for endless intolerance, violence, terror, wars, murders, hate against Jews, treatment of women, gays, apostates.

I don't care about whatever spiritual elements of a religion people want to believe in, as long as those beliefs do not interfere with others peacefully living their lives. Unfortunately, the ideology of Islam is more often used as motivation for hate, violence and terror than other religions at this point in history.

I do give every individual I meet the benefit of the doubt that they do not believe in harmful ideologies. Sometimes, there will be strong indicators however that they do. Like, if someone has swastika tattoos and a shaved head. Or if someone goes to a pro-Hamas demonstration. Or if someone has blue hair and a nose ring and antifa stickers on their bag and uses they/them pronouns lol.

    “We’re not blocking any aid”

    “we’re not starving them”

    “we don’t commit war crimes”

I don’t know which prior posts of mine you have in mind. May I have said something negative about certain Islamic beliefs as some point? Probably. As I think you must have as well. Belief systems are not beyond reproach.

You seem to be suggesting that my posts you are responding to here were about something “intrinsic” to Islam, but this is just your imagination. In fact, I was arguing against the idea just the other day in another thread that Islamic concepts that are antithetical to liberal values are “inherent” to the religion.

Even Israelis want an end to this war. But we have ‘Israel first, America last’ posters like @AroundTheWorld @basso @ROXRAN who want this to continue until every Palestinian is killed.

Not sure if serious or not.

The IDF isn’t the best army in the world. The US Marines would absolutely destroy them.

None of these point are accurate.

First - the US did not have a higher civilian death rate.

Second - the numbers claimed and inaccurate.

Third - the things he claimed are unique, existed in Vietnam.

Honestly, the US military is just better trained, it is made up of soldiers that enlisted voluntarily and the technology and leadership is better.

I’m not dogging on the IDF ability to fight - it just isn’t the best in the world.

Don't know if any of that is true. But even if it was, you know what would have made it irrelevant?

If Israel would have opened the exact same lines of communication they had done for aid groups in 2006. Israel screwed up. Stop trying to deflect from that.

He talks about Mosul. Most of the ground fighting was done by Iraqi soldiers. US soldiers were told to stay a couple terrain features away from the frontlines outside of "advisors" which were SEALS and Green Berets that were working with the Kurds. Also forward air controllers did a lot of work. Lots of artillery, HIMARS, and air power from the US but we were kept on a pretty tight leash in Mosul. Snipers did get in a lot of long range work though.

You obviously know that the problem is a lot more complex than that.

Muslims worldwide live in an alternate reality, and with them, the leftists.
