McMahon thinks Sengun or Green could be traded "for a star"

They wouldn’t. That’s why this “star hunting” billboard is stupid. That’s like me saying I’m looking to sell my home that I have now with a 2.5% interest rate. Giannis, Luka, Jokic, Ant, Booker, etc. aren’t going anywhere.

Only thing Stone needs to be doing is worrying about the draft to get a steal at the middle of the 1st or late in the lottery while also focused on the MLE level targets and be opportunistic in trade talks. The “star hunting” marketing initiative is stupid and makes the Rockets look delusional.

Our guys are still so young, and will continue to improve. No need to trade unless another GM is willing to overpay.

Yes who wouldnt want to trade one of those two for Luka, Edwards, or Tatum?

Otherwise, this front office can’t be that stupid.

Mcmahon is a Dallas homer… probably just trying to stir the pot.

I dont want Giannis. He cant shoot and relies too much on athleticism. He’s a great player and all but something doesn’t feel right about having him long term.

Sengun literally carried us (together with FVV) the entire season, until he got injured, and you keep posting this divisive crap. It's disgusting.

Jalen played like crap the entire season, started turning it around a few games before Sengun got injured. Then he started playing well. And Amen has been huge. That's the difference. If Jalen had been playing like this the entire season, we would be a top 4 seed, but others had to carry him for most of the season.

Why trade either for a star when they are star?

I'm optimistic on Green right now, but I feel like some people around here do need a reminder that Green has still not been playing well for that long this season... It could still almost be seen as a regression to the mean. I think it's more than that, but c'mon, let's not go crazy. Stars do this for a whole season. And this isn't the first time he's gotten our hopes up with a late season tear, either.

That's my point, there's only few players that would be worth trading because the rest of them are untouchable.

Keep the team together until Jalen and Sengoat are 24-25 and then asses imo.

Even if Jalen and Amen ball out after this season, their style is pretty risky, and you would need more injury insurances.......that goes without saying.

    • A lob threat is not going to carry you when your main guys get injured for lengthier periods.
    • You better get a younger Sengün back.....that is impossible and laughable bc Alpe is already younger than Jalen.
    • Next thing, Tari Eason breaks out offensively.......

Yes if the narrative is that he has finally figured it out at the end of this season. Then next season is the time to show that consistency.

While growth is not linear, in one's contract year next season and for the fanbase, better hope it is a little linear.

I think we just need to have some good rim protection. Someone who can spell
Sengun and make it easy for FVV and Green. Maybe someone like Duren or Ayton? (and yes I know Ayton would be expensive)

Landale is a better defender than Ayton.

    Kessler would be the guy.

Stone is the one who chose Brooklyn package over Simmons. Also the one who offered unguaranteed contracts to FVV and Landale. Put some respekt in his name.
