This could have been a huge loss for Warriors. It might have caused some serious locker room drama with Green ejected early for being a petulant child. Curry’s look afterwards showed it all.
How is it a loss they won B2B. Green has been like this for years now if GSW can put up with it for years they'll be ok esp when they won.
No, I am saying if they lost the game, it would have been a huge loss for them and could have sparked locker room trouble. The other incidents in his past have hurt them. One might have cost them that Cavs series (1 think it was against them he was suspended). But they’ve never been this “bad” as a team and they’re fighting for their playoff lives. If Drays ejection cost them a win last night, I bet there would have been locker room fights and it COULD have sparked trouble for them in these last 12 or so games.
I don’t know man. At this rate, even if a superstar presents, I’d have to think really hard about it, considering his age and all that.
At this point it only should be if a disgruntled MVP level player under age 26 wants to leave their team where you can package Green with some firsts. That's probably the only case you would trade him.
He becomes the best player in the league for a 10 game stretch every spring? And you think that's a valid reason to trade him? Seems legit. You do realise that the playoffs are played in the spring, right?
To be fair Linsanity's peak was like 13 games and in total lasted like ~20 games. Now JL came out of nowhere and didn't have the athletic gifts of Jalen so there is definitely more basis to see if Jalen can continue this. But I do understand why so many are still too hesitant to call this real. I also think many of those not calling this real thought he turned a corner last year but got burned and don't want to get burned again.
I mean, have you ever looked at the youngest players to score 30 or 40pt games with high scoring efficiency list? Or the fact that Jalen by himself has put up more star flashes than every single other person we've drafted since Harden left combined? And that he was putting up those flashes in every season in the league, including over 50% of his games last year being over 20pt games whilst the "chosen one" was struggling to break 15 points and actually put up a nothing-burger? Jalen being this good is only a surprise for the people who are wilfully ignorant, and that's real talk.
Wemby is 19 so obviously and he's also generational. Jokic absolutely. Giannis obviously. Tatum it gets more sketchy. There can be a case Green has a higher ceiling than Tatum.
