The Texans WANTED both Armstead and Barkley, this is known. We knew their salaries at the time and we knew the differences in what they were offered and what they signed for, it was approx $5M. If $5M keeps you from taking the next step, then the Texans have a problem. BTW, I don’t recall seeing your analysis of the players we didn't sign?
That is where you are wrong. Yes the Texans tried to trade for Armstead AT HIS CURRENT CONTRACT. 1 year. That's it. Not an additional 2 years@17 million per. Barkley was never coming here even if the Texans had exceeded the Eagles offer by 1 million.

Anyone complaining about what Caserio has done so far is absolutely clueless. Every talking head has spoken about how great a FA period they've had and this team never gets media attention (I get CJ is a huge part of that). Expecting them to fill every single position of need is ludicrous. People are just being greedy. We finally have a team and direction to be excited about and there's still complaining for no reason.
