I'm not opposed to Chase Young and here's why...

If he had no issue with his motor, he might be Brian Burns level cost at his age.

We have Autry as insurance if he underperforms.

The idea of someone his age opposite Will Anderson is intriguing. If he has a good year and can be locked up prior to Anderson and Stroud, we would have a shot at a devastating end combo for a long time to come.

Worst case, we miss out on another player with the cap space for a year. He wouldn't stop us from getting someone next year like if he fails and has a 3 year deal.

I think we have to be very appealing to him for a chance to play opposite Anderson. The offense putting up points could also mean more pass rush opportunities too.
