Wet dream, but if they could get a combination of Armstead, Wagner, and Simmons for 30 million I think we would win free agency. Last year the 3 made a combined 37 million roughly. Then draft CB, WR, Edge, and RB2
Correct me if I am wrong, but the Texans have missed on most of the high profile free agents. Is that correct? Or, did I miss some "big" signings and I am not talking about "re signings."
I'm not opposed to Chase Young and here's why... If he had no issue with his motor, he might be Brian Burns level cost at his age. We have Autry as insurance if he underperforms. The idea of someone his age opposite Will Anderson is intriguing. If he has a good year and can be locked up prior to Anderson and Stroud, we would have a shot at a devastating end combo for a long time to come. Worst case, we miss out on another player with the cap space for a year. He wouldn't stop us from getting someone next year like if he fails and has a 3 year deal. I think we have to be very appealing to him for a chance to play opposite Anderson. The offense putting up points could also mean more pass rush opportunities too.
I’ve seen plenty of people compare Chase Young to Jadeveon Clowney in terms of motivation and effort. He was up and down according to SF fans. His injuries may have something to do with it or maybe the 49ers DC and DL coach just weren’t up to the task. He’s repped by Rich Paul.
