This guy could flat out hit and he is on a real hot streak. His weakness his fielding but his batting is too good to be on the bench. He leads MLB in RBI's per AB. Morgan Ensberg had his chance and he blew it. START MIKE LAMB even when ensberg is healthy. Also Viz should start over Everett when he comes back because he is left-handed and he got a world series ring.

I agree with the philosophy of don't fix what isn't broken.

Ensberg's been brutal all year. Lamb has Wally Pipped him, definitely. He's got one of the highest slugging percentages in the National League.

Phil seems like a smart guy. After all, he was the one who demoted Redding to New Orleans. I doubt he'll take Lamb away from 3rd unless he seriously cools off.

Lamb is confident right now. Maybe he turned the corner on his whole career. He's in the zone.

I still like Ensberg better. But if Lambs working, what the hell.

But when if Ensberg is at last seasons strength, watch out....

Another genius Spring training pick-up by the great Hunsicker.

Oh btw I still like Morgan though. He was clutch for us many times this season. He will be vital in the playoffs for us especially in the first round against those hated Braves. Morgan will be back and fine.

But Lamb stays put. He is hitting lefties and righties equally lately. Do not mess with a good - thank goodness Garner knows this.

I think Mike Lamb is the 3rd baseman we've been looking for. I love the guy.

Lamb has been killing the ball. We can't forget that Morgan had his bright spot during this homestand. He had the rbi double and took third base on a bobble against the Pirates last week. Lamb just has some stupid number of rbis these past 5 games. 13 to be exact. I would maybe let Morgan start one of doubleheader games in Pittsburgh. I hope it doesnt get rained out now. I dont think this team wants an off day. A couple of rained out games might give us some flexibilty in the rotation though. Hmmmm. Could we skip over redding?

Whatever happened to the battlecry of "FREE MORGAN ENSBERG!"?

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Outside of Roger Clemens, he was the best pick-up for this team in the off-season. Unless you want to argue that Andy Pettitte is the only reason Roger came.

But as far as value, Mike Lamb is up there.
