With such a serious injury this late in the season, I think there's a good chance he misses significant time next season

It's very possible. This organization isn't very forthcoming when it comes to injuries, so my guess is they already know about the ankle/leg and are waiting for the MRI to determine the extent of any possible ligament damage before sharing any of what they know. I'm expecting them to announce a fracture and probable damage to the ligaments in his knee just based on the video and his reaction to the fall. If thats the case, he could miss a chunk of next season depending on the extent of the injury. I'd be thrilled if he's back for the start of next season. That's probably a best case scenario at this point.

Oh no, I thought it was just the ankle.

There's no way he'd come back in a month even if he just injured the ankle. If it's a knee injury too, forget about it. Not trying to be pessimistic but it just wouldn't be in his best interest (or the team) to attempt to come back that soon. Let's just hope there's nothing seriously wrong with his knee, because the ankle injury is bad enough. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. He's going to be ok but it's going to take much longer than a month.

And it would speak volumes for this organization putting extra pressure on the newly healed injury......

Shut him down....how hard is it ........the season is already an improvement.

    17-18 games left.

Alpi will be back and even better next season. Now is an opportunity for Jabari to take charge on offense.

Wonder what skills he can gain by rehabbing in the off-season. Let's hope he comes back and improved free throw and three point shooter. It would really open up his game

I was waiting for this guy to weigh in. TL;DW the minimum is an ankle sprain and bone bruising in the knee, which would be at least a couple of weeks out depending on the severity. But can't rule out LCL and other ligament/tendon issues that could require surgery. Though he did at least sound hopeful that the hyperextension wasn't severe enough for that.
