I’m a Social D fan and glad to see him fighting. He’s lived a rough life and so much of his music is about his struggles. I’ve personally found comfort and hope myself in Mike Ness’ music and have covered some of his music.
I saw Drop-kick Murphys and Pennywise this past weekend and there were a decent amount of kids. The lead singer for Pennywise made a comment about all the cool parents who played their music in the minivan on the way to school.
I think in terms of musicality and range Flogging Molly is better. In terms of punk Dropkick Murphys. A few years ago I saw them both on the same show and would give a narrow edged to Flogging Molly for overall show.
Couple weeks ago I saw FIDLAR open for some Oliver Twist guy. FIDLAR was great live….never saw the Oliver guy but his peeps seemed weird
Only one I saw live was the Murphys at Fitzgeralds in the early 90's? It was loud and obnoxious and awesome. Which was basically any show at Fitz
