Jalen is at least cheap still and not guaranteed past this year. The Wizards are locked into that Poole contract for the next 3 years. Ouch

This is incorrect. jalen's option was picked up for next year at $12.5M. In retrospect, this was a mistake, we could have had a decent cap slot this offseason if he was declined. Oh, well..

 

Keep gluing Green to the bench. Keep playing Amen. It’s not hard. Stay strong Ime. Only thing that bothers me is we could have gotten something for him at the deadline.

 

None of that solves the real problem - shooting .274 on uncontested 3 point shots.

More like 4th man off the bench.

 

He is not really super sub 6th man material. Unless he really responds super well and makes HUGE improvements when he is moved to the bench, he will likely end up being an 11th or 12th man if he continues playing like he has for most of this season. He provably makes every single player worse when he is on the court with them. At this point he is not worth extending at the league minimum.

 

Or parked on the bench next to Boban except garbage time.

 

Amen is a crappy shooter, but he contributes in so many other ways. If you can’t shoot, then you need to do everything else really well. That’s why Amen should be starting over Jalen. And there is still hope that Amen will improve his shooting. Jalen’s shooting is getting worse.
