What the hell kind of moth is this?

    This thing was waiting on my front window when I got home. It's like 3 inches long and super creepy looking. It looks like some sort of futuristic alien moth--it's wings are all aerodynamic like a fighter jet or something.

    Did I mention the sucker is HUGE? My wife was scared to come into the house because it meant walking by it.[​IMG]

    That's tiny. I think it's the Hercules moth that grows to be a foot wide or something. :D

    I get a lot of those this time of year. The first time I saw one, I thought it was an odd looking hummingbird. They can hover and were all over my Lantana plants. Pretty cool!
