Jabari can be a successful basketball player if Ime change his position from Power Forward to SMALL FORWARD. He is too thin to compete with guys in the paint who are 30-40 pounds heavier than him. His handles has improved since he been with the Rockets and his shooting percentage is very good this year. Let him play outside-inside of the offense..meaning he should start playing behind the 3 point line to the free throw line(mid range) and then posting up 6’6 small forward opponent in the offense.

He was known to be a excellent defender when he was drafted. Inside defender? No. Blocking shots is not his forte but being a perimeter defender on any defense is a ASSET. Honestly, Tari can play Power Forward better than Jabari right now. Perimeter Defender? Jabari has a great wingspan, great hands and quick feet for being 6’11.

We are slowing down his progress as a basketball professional in his 2nd year, if Ime do not change him to SMALL FORWARD NOW!

Power forward is mostly a perimeter position these days. How many power forwards do you see posting up anymore? How many power forwards play in drop coverage or hang around the dunker spot?

Personally, I think he could play either forward position right now, but I expect him to bulk up and get slower as he ages and eventually end up being strictly a 4, or perhaps even a 4/5 hybrid (depending on just how much he fills out).

We've seen this over and over again. As guys age, they tend to either stay in the same position or they move "up" toward the frontcourt by 1 or 2 positions.

WhoTF are you talking to here? Do you think Udoka and Stone scan ClutchFans looking for tips and ideas?

I am sure Jabari knows his position more than some random CF poster.

Smith is likely done growing height-wise. But as he puts time in the gym, he will bulk up and likely get to the 235 -240 range.

Not necessarily! Alpi grew 5 inches over the summer and is now 7'3". There's no stopping him!

Jabari weighs 220 lbs. That's plenty big at his age. There are really only a handful of power forwards that outweigh him by 30-40 lbs, and they're all shorter than him.

I do agree he is more of a 3 and Tari is more of a 4, but they can alternate.

His handle makes him a power forward or even Center
