The league has gotten so much more efficient.... and the Rockets drafted a throwback high volume low efficiency chucker.

At the time of the draft, I am sure the Rockets didn't think that that was what they were getting.
But in retrospect, they did, certainly.

Thanks for sharing this! I’m fascinated by this topic…the league is so different so quickly.

That's certainly who I saw when I watched him leading up to the draft....I think they just saw flashy athleticism and thought he'd be a cash cow for them.

The real thinking didn't happen unfortunately

The Warriors were also a great defense.

Yet people keep talking about Green as this great trade chip, as if other teams don’t see exactly the same thing as the Rockets do.

Yep, we can talk about the system and rotations until our faces turn blue, but the plain fact is the Rockets just can’t shoot the ball. Changing rotations might help a little, but there won’t be any significant improvement until the roster changes or the young guys develop. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it is what it is.

The issue is we cant make them pay cuz we dont have shooters. Our shooting guard and point guard are highly unreliable at shooting and they know that.

You are spot on correct. I wrote a post titled “We Are Who We Are” and that basically sums it up.
