At this point let’s face it. They are both trade fillers. If I had to keep one though, I’d rather keep Nate
Nate looked good way back in Summer League and has continued to work, work, work....Eat em Up...He looks to eventually be a back of the rotation fit on a winning basketball team. As DaDa said, JG needs a wide open offense with the ball, to thrive...but it's not going to be winning hoops.
This reminds me of when our supremely knowledgeable community would shake a fist at the clouds and cry about "too much iso ball" Take a look at the most iso dominant teams in the NBA and where they rank. Nobody here knows a damn thing about how to run, build or coach a team. Ego maniacs with too much time on their hands.
That is probably largely true, but even the guys who ARE supposed to know how to do those things get it wrong quite a bit.
probably. he can just play pick up ball next to his twin jordan poole. They're both putting up similar seasons full of inconsistency and horrendous efficiency. Only difference is Poole got his nice bag already to be comfortable for years before he has to worry about it again
Yup! So do the Mavs, 76ers, OKC, Boston, Minny, Suns and Bucks, but what the hell do they know about winning basketball right?
Lets just all agree that we dont have a legitimate superstar to carry this team as of yet. That is really the only logical conclusion to make among all the noise from fans.
It is ok to run it if you have efficient players to run it, Jalen isn't an efficient player - and he may fit better elsewhere, that's fine.....not everyone fits.....it would be a win win to trade him to a team that he fits. DD
If Green could improve his 3 point shot he could become what posters on this MB want him to be. Unfortunately after 3 years he hasn't improved this part of his game at all and at this point it's fair to question if he will ever put in the work to improve his game.
https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/if-you-see-something-do-you-say-something.322362/ I refer you to that thread.
He needs to get with a coach who wont try to turn him into a 3 point specialist and understands player strengths/weaknesses and how to draw up plays to maximize the roster like Erik Spoelstra for example. Udoka needs STARS to make his system work (said it himself). We have no stars. Just projects.
I am almost more concerned that by all reports I've seen, he has a great work ethic. If his work ethic just sucked, at least I could wonder if he'd mature and improve his work ethic. But if he already has a great work ethic and just isn't getting better?
If you aren't going to play hard and keep losing 10+ points in the first quarter. Why are you saving energy for? You won't be playing in 4th quarter garbage time anyway.
