Shame on you for those who were hating on Donovan Mitchell...beginning of the season, I made a post stating we need to go after Donovan Mitchell and majority of you fanboys explicitly said Jalen Green has a higher ceiling than Mitchell! Lol the Cavs are number 2 in the East while we sit in 11th/12th place with a depreciating asset in Jalen Green!
Mitchell is a star worth trading a lot for but would be surprised if he was made available this offseason. Part of the problem with “waiting for a star to become available” is that you have no control over whether that happens, and other teams can bid for that player too. I don’t think the rockets have a realistic plan for getting a player of Mitchell’s value without also giving away the farm.
lol Mitchell has never ever been an option. how are you going to shame folks on something that never existed
Even if we could get him for something like Jalen + all the Brooklyn picks, I wonder if he is good enough to be the best player on a championship team. He seems kinda borderline to me, like he needs a really great supporting cast to have a shot. I don't know if our group is good enough yet--they're still so young. And Donovan's window is right now. He is already in the middle of what are likely his peak years.

Interesting. What has Mitchell won again? Provide his accolades that justify this level of certainty. If Green's ceiling is Mitchell, trade him now for good value and never look back. Mitchell is a 3rd/4th piece on a contender; not what you want to pay your #2 overall pick $30M/year for.
Hey remember that time a long time ago when I said that thing we should do that wasn’t ever even possible? Well I’m back to gloat about that thing I said that wasn’t possible and couldn’t happen. @J.R.
Multiple things could be true. * If Donovan was the only upgrade on this current roster, this team would still be far from title contention. * What's depressing is, Donovan's chance of coming here is likely slim. Stone only made the money part available, but the roster hasn't had enough glow-up, for stars to want to come here. Clutch reminded recently that when Rockets pursued Dwight and Chris Paul pre-Harden, they didn't want to come, wasn't until after Harden became a superstar that they were willing. Need that first star to be that magnet.
