I could see the Rockets standing pat, outside of Victors contract and a Bullock dump for maybe a future 2nd, with the desire to see what the second half of the year looks like with a healthy Tari and Bari on the court regularly.
My hope is that there are able to convert these contracts into an expiring contract for next year to keep the flexibility.
A potential trade would set the eyes on the future 2-3 seasons IMHO not just this Play In matter which personally I care little about.
6:00 p.m. ET: The Los Angeles Lakers will have much more room to make a move around the 2024 NBA draft rather than the upcoming Feb. 8 trade deadline, according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski. On "SportsCenter," Wojnarowski said the Lakers franchise and fans may have to temper their expectations as Los Angeles has one first-round pick to trade right now but could package three future picks into deals at this year's draft in June.
Didn't all the Jimmy buzz come from Lowe challenging Perk to come up with the spiciest take he could? I don't think it's actually based on anything just Perk of all people playing a hypothetical game. Though obviously these NBAcentral people have to eat so they'll roll with literally anything.
You know, as crazy as this seems, I wouldn't mind seeing the Rockets snag another future first somehow just to beef up possible trades in the summer while still having their BKN pick to use for themselves.
Not a bad idea.....we have to be aware that the Harden trade to the Nets was moderated by Harden's new agency at that time.... And Harden had decided to leave the Rockes with a trove of assets, I am doubting Stone would have gotten it without Harden trying to help the Rockets. That said, it is very doubtful Stone on his own can manage all of those assets. His body language seems like he is overwhelmed at times.
NBA just give the man his health care..... One week before the NBA trade deadline, while many teams are keeping roster spots open for transactional flexibility, NBA veteran Tony Snell was unable to find a home for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign, sources told Yahoo Sports. The official deadline was 11:59 p.m. ET for Snell to sign with one of the league’s 30 teams for the remainder of the season. That would have allowed Snell to accrue a 10th year of service for the players association’s retiree benefits program — beyond his current single qualification — which would cover healthcare for his whole family, including his two sons, Karter, 3, and Kenzo, 2, who are both diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
Bro Snell is a scrub who somehow has 50M in career earnings. You think he deserves a free ride on top for 9 yrs of work? Lol wtf.
Would be surprised, I have never watched him more than a few years in the NBA and then it wasn't productive. Do you know how much housing cost in the US lol..... Do you even understand that people of every class have different expenditures. People don't save every penny like Asians do lol.... Treating everyone like they are penny pinchers is not the way. Just because you would save every penny of 52 million, doesn't mean NBA players do. Those guys have an entourage of at least 10 humans, you don't.
Plus those guys have huge families to boot, every male cousins female cousins coming to him. It's like a microverse where he is like the big star everyone in his vincinity comes to with their money problems, in reality he is another scrub in the NBA but still the most lucrative league in the world.
Unfortunate but who cares anyway....seems you do..... I thought that was to deal with a troll that has no idea about compassion or what is nuance.
You don't need 52M to provide medical treatment to your children. Personally I'd reserve my pity for actually poor people not multi millionaires. Where's the compassion and empathy for Tilman Fertita? Don't you feel bad he is only the 7th richest owner instead of in the top 3?
