Houston offered "several" Nets picks to Brooklyn for Mikal Bridges

Strange as it may seem to some, I think Jalen has more trade value than Tari.

 

If we offer Jalen Green and all of our Net's picks for Bridges we are a poverty organization. It's borderline malpractice if that was being offered. Mikal is at best a 3rd option on a championship level team. We are not a Mikal away from contending. He is 27 with 2 years left ... he isn't worth all the draft capital. I rather hold onto our assets and see if there are other disgruntled stars available in the next 2 years

 

Every trade offer rumored always have us getting getting messed over but this is malpractice. We basically when it’s all said and done traded away Harden for Bridges

 

A big part of his value is his small contract. If he was making the max right now he would be a neutral/negative asset.

 

You do understand that the Nets don't give a **** about Green right, he adds little to no value to the trade. The only thing that's worth a damn to them are their picks and they still said no.

They already have Cam Thomas who's probably better than Green. Green is not the sweetener they need.

I think we are going to make our offer for Bridges, which includes Jalen. If they turn it down we move on to a cheaper solution with Brogdon, which doesn’t include Jalen.

 

Definitely. Kind of like how a teacher is more valuable than an influencer. But their dollar value does not match their value because of market dynamics.

 

If Jalen is seen as star player yes, but if he is just another scorer then the 3 and D guy wins out.

 

Cam Thomas is basically Jalen Green minus any and all upside. Dude is a rec league player and only getting minutes because the Nets are a poverty franchise. Giving him shots is like giving Josh Christopher shots except J-Gup could actually defend.

It's crazy that Bkn got a million picks from the Suns along with Cam Johnson and Bridges who they can again trade for a million picks. All we got from Harden was the picks and the players were trash. PG brought in the picks and Shai, Mitchell brought the picks and Lauri. Really need to get that young player when you're trading your superstar.

Lauri was thought of as just salary filler, he just exploded last season. Nobody could have seen THAT coming. Rockets were also in a different situation because of our outgoing pick to okc, so we HAD to have the worst record to maximize the odds of keeping the pick.

 

Jaters need to key in on a couple of words regarding a trade ==== STAR LEVEL PLAYER.

I'd probably advise SOFs to not buy any Rocket jerseys anytime soon if that is the end result this team wants "internally" as they dont seem to feel like that kind of guy is on the squad currently.
