To date, he's made about 110 million dollars in his career and this is really his last chance to get a serious money contract....I just don't see a steep discount coming unless he just REALLY wants to come home. I think it would take 20 a year minimum....then again, DeAndre Hopkins signed for 13 a year to end his career with the Titans, so who knows? If Evans is willing to take a contract in the range of what Nuk took, I'd go for it.
Yeah, his career was in the tank after looking terrible in Arizona and resorting to taking PED's to try to get back on top. Evans won't be in that situation, he's coming off a better season than Nuk has had in like 5 years.
I feel that Madubuike is going to get tagged. I think Evans gets overpaid. If Madubuike gets into FA you bring him and Queen in together and don’t let them leave.
I don't believe they'll invest heavily in wide receivers since the draft offers a deep pool of talent in that position, and CJ has shown the ability to elevate even less recognized players. They're going to sign either Jacobs, Saquon or Henry and then go heavy on defense. So I anticipate we'll see players in the range of Curtis Samuel, Gabriel Davis, Darnell Mooney, and Rashid Shaheed. Although, Michael Pittman is a David Mulugheta (Athletes First) client...
I’m inclined to the opposite, but can understand the sentiment. I like the idea of the offense growing with CJ and using the 3 years before he gets his big contract to make sure we have a scary defense.
