Jalen's a little stronger now so he's better at taking the bumps, and he's always had pretty quick feet and flexible hips so he can usually stay in front of his man. Off-ball defense...Jalen needs to study more film and work on it a lot more, and Cam needs to join him in the film room too.
Needs to learn to settle down and not force shots. Seems like he feels he can score on anyone at anytime and forced a sequence of 4 shots in a row. Those aren’t winning plays and that can be the difference between winning or losing in this league and it did. Needs to learn to be a playmaker and set others up but he has never played like that since Nova and likely before that so I don’t know how much he can improve in that area. Defensive assignments and on ball defense still needs work. But great offensive talent no doubt.
Oh no, let me guess you were one of those people clowning on Westbrook shooting those numbers and now it's all you can rave about to put Jalen in a positive light. Don't worry buddy, the front office was fooled by his 'skill' too. You'll see it eventually. It's taking fans varying lengths and seeing time after time after time after time after time the inability for Jalen to be consistent. So no harm in not realising that yet.
And the Jazz win again while the Rockets keep losing games they should win, pushing themselves further out from the playin.
He probably thinks he'll make them* all, too. No conscience, for better or for worse. At 19 years old, his skillset and his body are unbelievable...his development as a basketball player will determine if he'll become Corey Maggette or Mitch Richmond
He doesn’t need to be amazing, but if he can be good enough to knock down a good % of those wide open looks at the top of the arc (ala Brook Lopez) and force defenders to have to at least half assed close out, he’d be scary good since he’s already extremely good going downhill into the lane as well as passing the ball.
You are on a roll, breh. I like Richmond but he was no Stojakovic or Ray Allen. I think both Amen and Cam are unique players, they might not be players that do everything well enough.
Oh you don't like giving players credit for bouncing back in a certain area........................what is the bet you were one of the fans who killed him for having 0 rebounds against Portland............... Green kept us in the game tonight in the third quarter. 4-9 from three was pretty good. 5-15 yes but a few of those should have been foul calls.
I’m crushed I loved Cam, Amen, Brooks and Green’s play. Especially Cam. Wished Sengun would have hit his FTs to force OT. On the bright side we fought back and almost stole the game
So we lost to lowly Portland when we had a 4 pt lead and 13 seconds left in the game. And now we lost to Brooklyn when Sengun missed a FT that could've tied it. No playoffs this year without a trade.
Bouncing back . What did he exactly bounce back from. 3 years in he grabbed some rebounds in a basketball. Woooopty freaking doo. That’s how rock bottom the expectations are for this guy. Just embarrassing. Give him credit. Gtfoh with that nonsense. I don’t praise stupidity and bad play no they shouldn’t have been foul calls. Its his usual drive to the basket and is loose with his handle only to get blocked or stolen
Really frustrating game tonight. Ridiculous start. If they had bothered showing up in the beginning the missed free throw at the end wouldn't have even mattered. The leaders on this team need to step up. They also need some roster turnover. The trade deadline can't come soon enough because this current group ain't it. Nice comeback though! Almost...
He is improving in different areas of his game.................would you rather players be one-dimensional?
He definitely isn’t. Telling yourself that doesn’t make it true no matter how much you want to believe it
Telling yourself how much he isn’t improving his game and blaming him for a loss where several players including Sengun didn’t play their best, doesn’t make it true no matter how much you want to believe it.
