I never saw it in Jalen and been saying it for a couple years now I can see it in Amen once the game slows down a little for him
Amén is going to surprise a lot of doubters soon. The guy makes things happen on the court, even when he isn’t scoring. He’s catching up to the NBA speed quite nicely!
Above average NBA defender already. Great instincts and awareness. Had some slick passes, made some good moves on offense and I don't remember any turnovers. He was a force tonight.
I have no idea how good or bad Amen will end up but it is obvious that he competes, that’s at least a start, something Jalen doesn’t have.
Love the team giving him props after the timeout, especially Cam! He needs to work on that shot desperately! It may only happen when he's given the reins and fails (in terms of shooting) on the big stage.. that or he just slowly gets better year by year.
Nope. Any person that doubts amen after watching him play is, at best, a moron. The good news is, if these morons didn't watch basketball, it would be impossible to draft value.
I have said it before, but there is like PTSD on this board from the Silas era, and the fact that Jaylen Green looks likely to not pan out to star level. People were and are turning on Thompson way too early. Frankly, anytime he is out there he is doing positive things. His short area burst both with and without the ball is crazy and he has been an amazing on and off ball defender.
He has great instincts and IQ. Needs to find that dribble to end up being a lead guard but the potential is there.
To see him filled with joy after that monster defensive play is very heart warming. Rooting for him to succeed big in the future.
He gets up so fast, so high. Dude's head was nearly above the rim on that block and he jumped after Sexton, who is a pretty athletic dude in his own right
Showed flashes of his elite defensive potential. There will be more to come as he gets more comfortable on the floor as well. I am already in love with his hustle and feel for the game.
My love for basketball started as a young man when I saw it as a game of poetry in motion. Amen's block is one of those verses that I'll remember, because not only did he make the block, but he put it in an area that our guys could get the ball. It was truly a thing of beauty. Well done young man!
