@MadMax im in Amsterdam now and they lost my luggage on the flight from Asia. Good thing just found out there is an Irish pub near my hotel! With that and the complimentary wine I had on my flight my dry January is turning more into a monsoon January
Man, that’s a bummer when luggage gets lost. Hope they get it to you quickly. Safe travels and Sláinte!
Keep it up dude. I was the same way, a six pack with a shot of whiskey every night. Stopped the whiskey a few years ago. Then only beer. Then dwindle down to 2 brews a night. Withdrawals sucked! Had to go to my primary doctor, and rehab. Cold turkey is brutal. Going into a yr with out a single drop.
I'm in. I've done it the last couple years, it's a good reset. To be honest this time is extra worth it because I have been drinking like I'm still 18 but I am not still 18.
I kept it to 1 bottle of wine (Slaite Theory merlot out of Fredericksburg) and 1 after-dinner digestif tonight to go along with our steak and veggies. My brother has recently gone permanently totally sober. It's not easy, and I respect the hell out of him.
Got dang! You need to change your username to "AlcoholBlood". Good job giving up the stuff and good wishes to you not going back. Having worked in a hospital, addiction sucks no matter what kind you have.
I’m two weeks into Vegan January and it’s going good. Although eating a diet of a lot of vegetables and beans means I fart and poop a lot more.
I've been thinking about changing my diet, trying to lose that visceral fat and just be lean to perform better.
I’m trying it because my cholesterol is high. I exercise a decent amount but with age and genetics have been having issues with cholesterol and gout. Rather than take medicine figured would try lifestyle change. So far haven’t noticed any weight loss and I going vegan haven’t lowered my overall calorie intake. What I am doing is eating much better as not eating animal fats means I don’t eat things like donuts or cookies.
